Portrait painting of my guy

When I was working with Photoshop throughout High School, I used this command called "Threshold" which distributes the picture into two colors, dark versus light to create a high-contrast illustrative look. The painting in the photo below was once an image manipulated on photoshop using the same command. Then I translated the photo into a painting.
I have done several self portraits like in the photo below, you can see one of the paintings here "Self portrait sketches, painting & etching". 


The painting below is of my partner, James, painted in 2007.
