Rare Earth (poem) by Cassie Kinney
An environment with water; A sun that doesn't burn out quickly; A giant neighbor that protects it from meteorites; A magnetic field that deflects solar winds, And a moon that provides stability: Essentials for complex life. Earth came to be because We've got the right kind of sun, The right kind of moon, In the right bit of space, At the right bit of time. Earth was created by chance.
